Site Coordinator Training Institute
The Site Coordinator Training Institute focuses on the theory behind the program model, best practices, implementation, evaluation, data collection, and program administration. For the new sites wishing to attend a training institute, a signed Replication Agreement with the National Center is required, indicating intent to start an official replication site. All new Coordinators must also complete one day of follow-up training, which expands on the initial training and focuses on reflection supervision and multi-cultural training.
After completing the initial training institute, new Coordinators are certified to start a site and train their site’s Home Visitors.
All new Coordinators receive manuals, DVDs, administrative materials/forms, and training materials for the training of Home Visitors. New sites also receive two years of free unlimited program assistance.
The training fee allows two people to attend the training institute. One of the people attending must be the Coordinator, who oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of Home Visitors. We recommend that each site also send a supervisor who will be overseeing the Site Coordinator. All Parent-Child Home Program sites must have a Coordinator trained by The Parent-Child Home Program National Center for each 50-60 families being served.
