THE PARENT-CHILD HOME PROGRAM'S CALIFORNIA EXPANSION
The first Parent-Child Home Program sites in California opened in 2000 and were funded by Prop 10, now First 5, the California Children and Families First Act of 1998. First 5 funding and innovative collaborations with a wide range of organizations have enabled The Parent-Child Home Program to ensure that hundreds of children from families challenged by economic, educational and/or language and literacy obstacles enter school ready to learn and succeed.
The Parent-Child Home Program served approximately 800 families in the state of California during the past year.
